Prayer for G2-Samuel

I was given Malachi 4

What stood out was Malachi 4:1-3 (The Message)
1-3 "Count on it: The day is coming, raging like a forest fire. All the arrogant people who do evil things will be burned up like stove wood, burned to a crisp, nothing left but scorched earth and ash— a black day. But for you, sunrise! The sun of righteousness will dawn on those who honor my name, healing radiating from its wings. You will be bursting with energy, like colts frisky and frolicking. And you'll tromp on the wicked. They'll be nothing but ashes under your feet on that Day." God-of-the-Angel-Armies says so.

It seems like God is showing me about the same thing for G1 and G2 yet not totally the same. I guess only time will tell what God wants for G1 and G2...

Prayer for G1 - Samuel

As I prayed, the Lord impressed onto my heart Zechariah 3

The amazing thing is that Zechariah's message begins with a series of night visions, which offer both comfort to the people of God in rebuilding the temple and judgement of the disobedient people and nations. Zechariah joins the older Haggai in exhorting the people to finish construction of the temple (which they accomplish in 4 years time) and encouraging a closer walk in obedience to God.
(taken from NIV study bible)

I felt this was very apt as G1 is currently going through rebuilding and this may provide comfort and encouragement to the people in G1. God bless!

Samuel
I prayed that the pastors and the leadership in the church would continue to be strong in this period of transition for G1. I prayed that although the church is expending, the leaders would stay true to the core values in which this church was built around and not lose sight of those in the hectic expansion process.

God bless,
Janan

JoJo Thoughts...

When I was praying on friday i was praying for these main reasons that the church cannot be without.

1)I was praying for the ministry. As the ministry plays a big part the church and its really very stressful.Pray that they may think of more ideas to bring more PRE-BELIVERS to knowing CHRIST,if not then there is no reason to live for.

2)I was also praying for the church members of R-AGE.We too play a part in taking the initiative to invite friends to church so that they may learn more about CHRIST and save him from multiples of sins.

My thoughts....

During the time with God, i sensed a few things...

1) Pray for the leadership in the church (especially Ps. David Lim and his family).
-They are the decision-makers of the church. Pray that they will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and the decisions they make are aligned to God's will.

2) Thank God for all that He has done. Grace Assembly of God is able to grow this big not because of what the pastors have done or what we have done, but what God has done. I feel that before we ask God to help us to grow more, let us thank Him for the wonderful things He has done in Grace AOG this year.
